Scenography

The memorial space “The Pioneers’ Flight” includes several buildings: the Château Petit-Espinet Raynal, 1 000 m², which was the headquarters of the Latécoère company and has always housed the administrative functions of the site. The General sotre no. 30, 2 700 m², adjoining the Château, built in 1928, long time reserved for the storage of aircraft parts. The Radio House, also built in 1928, was the station that transmitted and received Aéropostale messages. At the heart of this space, in the department store, the scenographic path takes place around a permanent exhibition of over 700 m² and rooms that will present exhibitions and events. The scenography appeals to the various senses of the visitor through interactive audiovisual, and multimedia devices, models, games and hands-on activities, reconstructions… From the first Latécoère airliners to the Air France overhaul center, through the prestigious epic of the Aéropostale line, the entire historical heritage of civil aviation is showcased. A flight simulator completes the exhibition. Installed in the cockpit of a Breguet XIV aircraft, visitors can have a dynamic immersive experience and fly over the first Aéropostale
